These days, as the competition rises every passing minute, innovation has indeed become the call of the day. The recent times have seen
many films coming up with unique and
state-of-the-art merchandise. The latest one to come up with one such merchandise is Sohal Khatwani, owner of Headknockin Company, a company that
manufactures bobblehead figurines. This company has been chosen to make the official ‘bobblehead’ figurines of SRK’s character from Don 2 that will
soon hit the market. SRK’s will be the first bobblehead figurine to be made of any Bollywood star.
Speaking exclusively to Bollywood Hungama, Sohal said, “I had this concept in mind for some time and have been working on it since the last 6 months.
It’s really popular across the world. And almost any international movie star, sports personality or icon has a bobblehead.”
When asked about SRK’s reaction to this concept of bobblehead, Sohal said that, “SRK is an extremely kind person. He told us, ‘Guys…All the best. God

Shah Rukh Khan must be thanking God that for his upcoming release Don 2, he won’t have to go through similar nervous pangs as Ra.One. While his superhero film had faced major issues when it came to completion of 3D conversion work, much better planning has gone into ensuring that Don 2 doesn’t face the same trouble.
“For both Ra.One and Don 2, the decision to convert them into 3D was taken at the last minute. When Anubhav Sinha and Farhan Akhtar had shot the film, it was done with a regular camera and there was no additional emphasis on framing the scenes in such a way that they could be 3D friendly. However, once Shah Rukh caught the fancy of 3D and he was informed that conversion is possible, he gave a go ahead for Ra.One to go through the process. However, it is a known fact that not just did it add on to the film’s budget, it even threatened the release timing as the conversion was taking an eternity”, says a source.
Resultantly, there was a suspense around the 3D release of Ra.One till the very first show, hence making it an uncomfortable situation to be in for Shah Rukh and his team.
“This wasn’t all as the results too weren’t really overwhelming”, says a film buff, “At places one could experience the 3D effects but for most part of 3D, the conversion didn’t quite create a desired impact. It was obvious that one didn’t see the best of 3D that Ra. One could have otherwise produced.”
It was a lesson learnt not just for Shah Rukh but even director Farhan Akhtar who was sure that for Don 2, the effort would have to be much better planned. While an announcement was made around the film being converted into 3D quite some time back, he started work on it soon as well so that there is no last minute rush.
Though Farhan isn’t inclined to comment on Ra.One, he is happy to talk about Don 2. “When you are converting a film to 3D, it is crucial that you give it an adequate time. Rushing up the job won’t give you correct results. To get the desired effect, you have to respect the timelines. Also, as a director you have to be there with the team right through the conversion process instead of outsourcing it completely by giving them a deadline. You have to see the results constantly and be involved”, he says.
So how confident is he with the way 3D conversion is shaping up on Don 2? “Well, I am genuinely happy”, says Farhan, “I am sure there won’t be any delays. We will bring the 2D and 3D version together on December 23.”

Rajinikanth brought in his 62nd birthday with minimum ostentation and fanfare. His instruction to his fanatical fan clubs who turn his birthday every year into a veritable carnival was to go easy with the celebrations.
Says a source close to the actor, “Rajini Sir has always been hugely indulgent of his fans’ desire to celebrate his birthday with fanfare. But this time, the fan clubs were very clearly instructed to go easy on the loud celebrations. After the illness, Rajini-ji has lost his appetite for crowds and for flamboyant festivities. On this birthday, he just wanted to be with his immediate family.”
Rajinikanth’s wife Latha, his two daughters Aishwarya and Soundarya, and sons-in-law Dhanush and Ashwin spent the day with the mega-star.
Says Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya, “It was lovely. We spent it together as a private family occasion.”

After having made the whole world gyrate to her moves with ‘Sheila Ki Jawaani‘, Katrina Kaif is back again with yet another smashing item number called ‘Chikni Chameli‘ in Karan Johar’s yet-to-be released film Agneepath. The actress is all set to give her own self competition with some of the dreamiest moves in the Hrithik starrer, the music of which is composed by the duo of Ajay-Atul.
The news however is that the song is actually a remake of the foot-tapping peppy Marathi dance number ‘Kombadi Palali‘ from the famous Marathi film Jatra, which was also composed by Ajay-Atul. When asked about it, Ajay made no qualms in saying that ‘Chikni Chameli‘ happens to be a Hindi version of their Marathi song. He also added that the task was to make the Hindi version even better, which now has Shreya Ghoshal singing it in her signature style.
Meanwhile, ever since Dharma Productions gave internet surfers a chance to listen to the song yesterday via the Agneepath Facebook page, ‘Chikni Chameli‘ seems to have become viral on the internet.
What needs to be seen now is how popular the song gets eventually.
